Hi ! My name is Shairra, I’m in grade 10 and for my personal project, I’ve decided to create a platform to uncover and share the convoluted and often overlooked history of crime in India , particularly stories that have long been buried or forgotten. Despite the complexity and significance of these pivotal events, they rarely make it into modern context, leaving behind a void in our collective understanding. While this began as a mere project, it has since evolved into a comprehensive exploration of how these ancient and modern narratives have influenced India's identity and molded its societal and cultural landscape.

Through this project, I’ll explore the evolution of crime from World War II to the age of AI and ChatGPT, and examine why, even in our modern world, total Cognisable crimes have risen in millions since the British empire. Furthermore, my main aim remains to shine a light on these untold stories by writing a series of articles, each dedicated to one remarkable crime case from a different century, starting from the 1940s.
Read my first article below where I explore how media coverage can subtly shape public perception, sometimes irretrievably altering the course of justice, the poignant-  Lakshmikanthan Mystery  Ink & Blood: Murder and Media collide
